Dietary administration of mushroom mycelium extracts in patients with early stage prostate cancers managed expectantly might be ineffective
June 27th, 2010 Posted in alternative treatmentsA recent study at Shikoku Cancer Center, Matsuyama, Japan, aimed to assess the efficacy and safety of mushroom dietary supplements in patients with early stage prostate cancers who are managed expectantly.
In this phase II, the study concluded that a mushroom mycelium extract was an ineffective treatment for reducing 50% or more the patient prostate specific antigen values.
